Oddz-N-Endz: Cavalcade of Whimsey and Pain

Crash different!
(QuickTime, 4.5 MB) Look, nothing against Apple or Mac users, but just
because you don't use Windows doesn't mean your OS has zero problems or will solve world
hunger. A hilarious takeoff on Apple's 'Different' campaign from many years ago
(now thankfully replaced by the far superior 'PC vs. Mac' campaign).
The Dump Of Doom
(DiVX .avi, 24 MB) In 1987, a few hallmates from my dorm at
Virginia Tech led me and my video camera to the
second floor bathroom for a sight to behold. Wow... was it ever big. No kidding, they
made T-shirts and everything to celebrate the event that year. I'd like to claim that no
sphincters were harmed in the making of this video, but that would probably be lying.
Incidentally, I'd put this video up on YouTube, and they removed it because it was
somehow deemed "inappropriate content" (despite an abundance of other really gross
clips on their site that show vomiting, zits, fecal matter, and so forth). Nice
ambiguity there, YouTube. Good luck with the whole gentrification of the world thing.
AWESOME shot!
(MPEG, 850k) Keep your eye on the kid running from right to left across the
bottom of the screen. He knows what it means to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I'm guessing the crowd didn't start chanting "aiirrr-balllll...
aiiirrrr-balllll..."
Pommel Horsin' Around
(MPEG, 650k) A classic clip that fellow video student broadcaster Tyler Potter used
to show every week on his show The Sports Authorities which aired on the Virginia Tech
campus and the town of Blacksburg. I believe the gymnast's
name was Brian Meeker... and yes, he recovered.
The Genius Has Landed
(MPEG, 900k) They do this kind of stuff in the Tony Hawk video games all
the time, so it MUST be safe! Right...?
A Picture-Perfect Baby
(MPEG, 1.5 MB) Do you like funny ads? I like funny ads. Despite my reservations
about Fuji digital cameras (stemming from my dissatisfaction with my Fuji Finepix), I've
got to give major props to their advertising agency on this one.
I Want The Sweeties!
(AVI, 2 MB) The long-haired guy in this clip isn't Peter Horton, but it does
look an awful lot like him, doesn't it? Anyway, without spoiling the punchline, I
hope a few of you out there look upon this as a cautionary tale. Just sayin'.
I Towed You So
(Windows Media Video, 14.5 MB) With the number of guys strewn about this
video, you'd think would've been able to mass enough muscle to PUSH the car
out of the snowbank. But if they did, we wouldn't have this clip to laugh at.
Einstein On Truck
(Windows Media Video, 750k) Sometimes it seems the people at the DMV just throw driver's licenses into the
wind, and whoever catches one gets the privilege of operating a two-and-a-half ton
missile of death on our city streets. I'll feel better if more guys like this take themselves
out of the gene pool.
E-C-Dumb! E-C-Dumb! E-C-Dumb!
(MPEG, 2.5 MB) Another roof. More geniuses thinking the trip down is going
to be pleasant somehow. At least they restricted the danger to themselves! Thanks to my buddy Travis at Creative Edge for hooking me
up with this one.
